On the far wall of the large room is the red circular emblem of the military project; we can make out the words PROJECT COTTONTAIL in an arc along its stop, with a white heraldic-styled icon of one of the creatures at the center of the circle, gesturing fiercely. Two men in military uniforms stand near one of the windows, looking out into the room.

Panel 2: From the opposite side of the glass, the two mens’ faces are visible. One is Colonel Harren. The other is General Richart. They are speaking.

Harren: General Richart, I understand you had someone else go in with my research specialists.

Panel 3: Richart says nothing, but presses his hands against the glass and leans for a better look at what is going on below. On the floor below, the creature we saw on the previous page lays unconscious on a stretcher.
